Building and Civil Engineering Department

This is one of the biggest departments with a student population of over 3,000 students. The department endeavors to provide quality technical training in the production of qualified Technicians and Technologists, for the ever-dynamic building and construction Industry.

The department has adequate facilities and resources that enable our students to get hands-on experience and for the market.  We have well-furnished workshops with modern tools and equipment. This enables our students to develop the needed skills and competencies within a short time enabling them to fit well in the working environment. The department ensures that our students get attachments in industries and institutions as part of.

The Department is one of the most extensive with a variety of courses and activities, with relevant practical experiences which serves to expose the students to real work scenarios and environments.

Our students have excelled in both class work and practical’s making them marketable in the job market, registering above 60% pass in KNEC Examination results.

We have a well-motivated teaching and support staff in the department who contribute greatly in the success of the students.
